Cutters
Chrisco's methodology takes laboratory testing to the next step in performance by testing for dynamic thermal stability in our polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) cutters on the latest specialized equipment. With a new understanding of PDC cutter performance and formation interaction,
CBI Cutters provide the best custom cutter configuration to suit your application and increase optimum performance in the field.
Body Design
Chrisco provides a broad portfolio of fixed cutter bits for all environments including: bits targeted at rotary steerable and steerable motor applications; large diameter bits designed for surface hole and soft shallow formations; and fixed cutter bits for all other uses. A highly spiral
Body Design for improved lateral and torsional stability or cutting structure reinforcement is also available. The result is enhanced stability, steerability and directional response —delivering optimized penetration rates, reduced vibration and improved toolface control.
Limiters
When too much weight is applied, especially in softer formations PDCs have a tendency to dig in and try to bite too much. This leads to torqueing up, walking and a general reduction in ROP. Depending on your application our PDCs can be equipped with
Load Limiters to help reduce those effects and keep the bit running at optimum penetration. Whether tungsten or diamond the load limiters will hold the bit off the bottom just enough to allow the cutter to shave the formation the way it was designed to do.
Jets
Innovative body designs and premium cutting solutions coupled with precision
Jetting patterns are a part of what gives Chrisco PDCs their edge in the field. The application specific jet layout provides the best evacuation, cooling and cleaning for the cutters and your ROP. By moving cuttings up and out and reducing extraneous heat on the diamonds the longevity of the bit increases significantly and in many cases we see a reduction in the quantity of bits needed to reach TD. Saving you money in both hard tool expenses as well as rig time.
JSA
No matter where in your string a choke point occurs and flow gets bottlenecked the reduction in ROP due to the increase in back pressure and the potential damage due to debris can cause significant damage to your bit, string and overall bottom line. When building your BHA the evacuation potential, measured by your
JSA is crucial. Chrisco bits takes into account your specific needs and we can design a bit tailored for your application. Whether in Steel or Matrix body we can push the envelope in nozzle count and total bit JSA to offer the most efficient evacuation control as possible.

We strive to focus on performance as efficiency and cost savings. It’s not about the final ticket as much as it is about saving you hours of drilling. We have found that those hours and the quality of hole experienced with our bits stand shoulders above ALL our competition.
